KS4 Data needed urgently.. Deadline will be Friday 10th of December. I then need to sort out groups, liaise with SLT (may take some time) and run the program. (Ideally this is via email. Thanks to Alistair and Rashida so far)

KS4 CAP papers > Please DO NOT take away the hard copies. The next person will then not have a test.

Exams
January Yr 10 211 only, Yr 11 215 (as well as triple science etc)
Summer Yr 10 212 and 214, Yr 11 all not done (See rotations)

Grade boundaries in KS4

Based on an actual exam (out of 42) from exam board

Work out percentages

Then work out marks for your test. Example here is for C4

This is not perfect but a reasonable way.

KS4 Rotations

This means that next academic year this group will have to do

This is to try out this rotation in order to get ready for the future.

The key dates in the first term are the module exams:
Science; Mod 1 jan 13th,

Additional; Mod 1 Jan 19th
The ideas papers are again quite late in the Summer term: Science 27th May

Science Cover lessons

A folder for science cover lessons have been created on the Learning platform Interest space. If you are ill we could just put documents in this for the pupils to access next year.
I have given all staff and students reading access and science staff can write and send documents to it.

Embedding HSW into year 10 and 11 SOW now part of gained time

Our aim is to create a set of WALT and WILF statements for the Core and Additional courses. At least one of which focuses on HSW and one on content.
The most important bit of this is implementing it the following year.
If we could emphasise the HSW aspect as we go through the course the pupils will have a better idea of how this fits into science rather than as a separate aspect.
This should not take too much work and should help the pupils in their lessons and exams.
This has been discussed before and some of you have already done this.

Thursdays Moderation day

• Please bring all coursework and set up your group in piles of CASE study and investigation in U20
• Fill in the front sheets for the coursework before hand
• We aim to moderate at least 20% of each group to start with.
  
• So we need a piece of paper outlining the number in your group and how many students this is divided into CASE and investigation.
  
• When marked please indicate which one you marked and initial the coursework.
• At the end of the day we will all take our coursework back and fill in a final sheet (either on SIMs or paper) with a complete breakdown into sections.
• All accurate marks to me by 7th May so I can transfer to the official sheet by the 10th
• Take Coursework away and keep and hand in when it is called for if needed (Usually 12-13 May)
• End of May all coursework to be centrally filed
• We need coursework to be annotated.

Please get all year 11s to sign the Candidate Authentication Statements. We keep these and do not send them off. We only supply them when required. (OCR)
I have photocopied 100 and left them on the prep-room table. There is a Master copy in the plastic wallet

Coursework update URGENT. Deadlines and dates

• Up to date coursework marks to PL or JR by Monday 22nd as we need to really chase them up. If you update on SIMs that is fine.
  
• Lists of those who have more to do to CK so they can be do this on the Enrichment day (24th)
• All Marked and brought to Moderation day on 31st of March.
• Cover sheets are in Central prep room. Please take and fill in.
• 11 May is when they all get sent to the board so I will need them a week before this date.

Coursework Marks to me please

Please can I have all the coursework marks to me by the first of February. This should have given you enough time to mark them. They do not have to be the final marks. We are hoping to get the coursework out of the way by half term. We especially need to know who has not done any coursework and who is needs more encouragement.
