Yr 10 and 11 Forcast grades needed

Please enter forecast grade for January entries for the correct tier
Y10 units 1 and 2 only
Y11 any retake units needed

This is done via SIMs and the steps are as follows
  • Open your register
  • go to my marksheet entry near the bottom left hand corner.

  • find the marksheet

  • For year 11 you will have 2 to fill in as they may do resits as well. Talk to them about this.
  • Fill in the predicted grade


  • Tick the box "data entry complete" when finished. This needs to be done by 9am on 10th October.
  • Also keep a record for yourself

You can store files for the pupils on the intranet.
Space is limited.
They can be stored under
student forum and then Science.
Just add a folder with your name.

Yr 11 information

You will be getting sheets of your year 11 groups in your pigeon holes on Monday.
Please use them to
  • inform your pupils of progress
  • inform parents via reports on progress in both exams and CASE study
  • Chase up pupils about coursework
I have created 2 target groups
1) Differences on average grades
  • Based on -2 or worse (September 2008)
  • Review to -1 or worse (December 2008)
2) Case study not done well
  • Based on -1 or worse OR No data handed in
Please let me know in writing of any errors to your lists etc

So where should I be now?

Week 4 (22 sept) begins on Monday

In year 10 you should have
  • Completed B2 and the B2 tests
  • almost have completed your first module (due to start the next one in week 5)

In year 11 you should have
  • completed your first module
  • be one week into your second module. (due to start the next one in week 6)

useful tip

On the remote for the projector there is a button marked freeze. This means you can keep a picture projected and do the register at the same time. There is also a blank button and magnify controls.
